She’s barely four-films-old in the industry, but Kriti Sanon’s career is soaring.
The actress, who made her Bollywood debut in Heropanti, before following it up with Dilwale, has been busy with the shoot of her next — Raabta — which also stars Sushant Singh Rajput.
Ever since the duo began shooting together in Budapest, Hungary, for Raabta, there have been rumours that Kriti and Sushant are also dating in real life.
Since their Raabta shoot coincided with Sushant’s break-up with long-time girlfriend, the TV actress Ankita Lokhande, the rumours of a link-up with Kriti gained even more momentum.
While Sushant and Kriti have maintained the “just good friends” line, Mid-Day reports that the Raabta co-stars brought in Kriti’s birthday together on Wednesday. The actress turned 26.
As per the report, Sushant drove up to Kriti’s home around midnight and brought in her birthday together before they left for the airport to catch a flight to Mauritius.
Mauritius is where the last leg of the Raabta shoot will take place.
Raabta, however, isn’t the only high-profile project Kriti is currently connected with. News reports state that she has been signed on for BR Films’ next project, a love story set in a small town.
Filmfare quoted a source close to Kriti as saying that the project is one she is really keen on, and that she has already given the go ahead to producer Abhay Chopra. In fact, the report states, Kriti even met with the film’s director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari for a narration before she headed off to Mauritius for the Raabta shoot.
However, Sushant will not be teamed with Kriti for this one. Instead, Ayushmann Khurrana and Kartik Aaryan are being considered to play the male protagonists.
Kriti apparently has wanted to work on a film where the story is set in a small town, for a while now, as the milieu is one she finds fascinating to portray as an actress.
There has been no official statement from the actress about this new project, however.
Will Kriti make a statement once she returns from the Raabta shoot in Mauritius? And will this new project garner as much buzz as Raabta already has?
